Kinship Raids & Allied Kinship Raids Information
First and foremost our next Barad Guldur raid will be on Thursday. So please sign up!
We are going to be having our own raids and our allied Kinship has their own. Here is the information you need in order to attend both our raids and our allied kinship's raids (Aegis).
Kinship Raids
1. YOU MUST sign up in order to come. If you do not sign up and show up your spot maybe filled with an Allied Kinship Member (Aegis)
2. Our Kinship members get first priority ONLY if you sign up. Remaining spots are filled with Aegis members.
3. Try and show up half an hour before the raid. This way we minimize the amount of time waiting around.
4. Signups are CLOSED 24 Hours before our raid starts. This will give us an idea of which Aegis members are allowed to come.
Allied Kinship Raids
1. Sign ups for their raids will be posted on our website.
2. Their raids are usually only Dar Narbugud at this time.
2. This does NOT guarantee a spot in their raid. If they have room they will take whatever they need.
With that being said if we see that there are a ton of our members and their members interested in Dar Narburgud. We will split up the raids between the two kinships to accommodate the number of people who wish to go.

Event and Raid Date Changes (Final)
Yes yes I know we have been changing the raid schedule a little bit. Playing with times to see what works best.
Weekdays don't seem to work very well for a lot of people. We are going to be doing Barad Guldur on Saturdays at 8pm EST.
This should ensure those that have issues during the week to be able to attend on the weekends. Once we have BG down we can break up the raid into two nights.
DN can also start happening on Sunday evenings if we have enough interest.
Skirmish Nights are moved to Wednesdays now.

Kinship Alliance
We are now part of an Alliance with a friendship kinship called Aegis! What does that mean for our members?
- Access to an Alliance User Chat! (instructions below on how to use it) - Access to other quality players - More options for grouping if people aren't online in the Kinship
We now have an Alliance user chat!
To join simply type: /joinchannel Heroes_of_Aegis
This will throw you into a user chat room. It will tell you which user channel you are in. If you are in userchannel1 then you type in "/1" to begin talking in that channel. Just like you would type "/k" to talk into Kinship chat.
You can only be up to four user channels at once.
We are encouraging every member to join the channel!

Radiance for Barad Guldur Raid
There have been a lot of questions about what radiance we would like you to have in order to participate in our upcoming Barad Guldur raids. Here is a list of what you will need. 25 Radiance PiecesThese are bartered for in Mirkwood with the Medallions of Mirkwood. Sword Halls, Warg Pens, Dungeons, and Sammath Gul. Visit your class trainer in Mirkwood to see how many of these tokens you need. 15 Radiance PiecesThere are two ways to get these. Either from running the above Mirkwood instances and bartering those tokens. Or you may run the 3-man Moria instances, Hall of Mirrors, Water Wheel, and Halls of Crafting. These will award you Medallions of Lothlorien which are traded into your class trainer in Lothlorien. The 15 radiance pieces are exactly the same. You are able to get them two different ways. People were getting confused as to whether or not they were the same. Having all of these pieces you will have 120 radiance which is what we would like every member coming on the raids to have. Others have said 105 is ok but the more radiance the better. We will be running Dar Narbugud to get the +20 Radiance pieces to replace the +15.

Kinship Weekly Events and Raids Points for SG
Our Weekly Kinship events for all levels is back! Thank you to Filhtypig for getting these all set up. All members are asked to take advantage of these days. They can all be found in the Events Calendar at the top of the page.
Monday - Epic Book Any Book Quest(s) can be done! Volume 1 and Volume 2.
Tuesday - Deeds Any Deeds you wish to do. Especially the ones where you need to kill over 300 mobs.
Wednesday - Instance/Radiance Any Instance (all levels and areas) you need help with. Also any radiance runs within Moria or Mirkwood.
Saturday - Skirmishes Any size of Skirmish and all levels 30+. Get a 3,6 or 12-man skirmish going! Get us those marks!
All these days are for all our members of any level. These are NOT set up for a specific time. You do not have to wait around for an Officer to set up the group. You can make up your own group with other members online. This is to get everyone in the kinship to participate together and have fun! Also by getting the things done that are hard to do without some help.
SG Crafting Item Everyone knows about the very rare crafting item that drops in this instance to be able to craft a 2nd Age Weapon for Level 65. To keep it fair we will be having this item cost 4 Raid Points. Also you will only be ALLOWED to get ONE of these items until a majority of members have one crafted item. If in the case everyone in the group already has one then it'll still cost the 4 points.
You will get ONE raid point for each successful run.
If an ALL KINSHIP run occurs without an officer to take down the points then please inform an officer of who was in the group and if the item dropped or not.
Hopefully this way we can get everyone one of these items to craft a weapon.
Any questions or concerns please contact Burnie!

Official server downtime
All LOTRO Game Servers will be brought down on Tuesday, December 1 at 6:00AM Eastern (-5 GMT) in preparation for the release of Siege of Mirkwood, which will be available when the servers come back up! Release Notes and Known Issues will be available closer to the release.
Also here is some info on the pre-patch: (Originally posted by Sapience) While conspiracy theories are always entertaining, even when they're so far off base they're not even in the same state as the ballpark, the reality is far less exciting.
Because we have so many methods of delivering our games (TDM, Pando, Direct installs from SoA or MoM DVDs), a pre-patch installer actually runs the risk of breaking players on the client side. This has happened the last two times we've issued pre-patches. Because we do not wish to create another situation where players, in their excitement, can put themselves into a broken state requiring a re-install, we opted not to offer a pre-patch.

Site upgrades
Hey everyone, its your friendly neighbourhood site administrator Davalin!
We are all very excited about the launch of SoM, and to keep the party moving there are some cool new site updates coming down the pipeline that you should know about.
** We're working on adding auto-importing from the LOTRO API, to import roster information and character information.
** We've also got some templates planned for the upcoming expansion "Siege of Mirkwood" so be ready!
** Adding support for a number of video services.
** We're completely redoing the character profile page to make it a smoother, more integrated, more functional, and more informational page. It's loaded with improvements. We've also got more upgrades coming to the beta forums including much more granular control over email notifications as well as improved posting functionality.
If anyone has any questions or concerns don't hesitate to fire off an email to me or chat with me in game!
